Tuesday's Tool: Librarians' Internet Index

For those who have used the Web a long time, you probably know lii.org as the Librarians' Index to the Internet. If you haven't checked it out in a while, it has relatively recently undergone a facelift and makeover. It is now going by Librarians' Internet Index, but retained its URL and its fabulous utility.

A site initiated and maintained by librarians, this is a hand-selected, human-annotated and human-indexed collection of Web sites that are useful and authoritative for reference use. Searchable and browseable, this has special features (right now there's one on The Olympic Games), plus an e-mail and RSS weekly additions newsletter.

If you're not familiar with this, or if you haven't checked it in a while, give this favorite a spin!
